The Journal of Stem Cells Reviews and Reports published a study that stem cells could possibly cure disorders such as Parkinson’s and Lou Gherig’s Disease(amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). Professor Daniel Offen and Professor Eldad Melamed from Tel Aviv University’s Sackler Faculty of Medicine and Felsenstein Medical Research Center has developed a process where stem cells are drawn from the patient’s own bone marrow rather than using embryonic stem cells.
